Commitment

Accessibility

Good design works for everyone. This site — and every site I build for clients — is made to be usable with a keyboard, readable by screen readers, and respectful of reduced-motion preferences.

Our goal

Davis Digital Studio aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we review and improve the site regularly rather than treating it as a one-time task.

What we do

  • Semantic HTML with a logical heading order and page landmarks.
  • Full keyboard operability, including a “skip to content” link and visible focus.
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images.
  • Color contrast checked against WCAG AA, in both light and dark themes.
  • Respect for the “reduce motion” setting — animations are dialed back automatically.
  • Forms with associated labels and clear, announced error messages.

Tested with

Recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, with VoiceOver (macOS/iOS) and keyboard-only navigation. We also use automated tooling (axe) as a baseline, alongside manual review.

Known limitations

Some third-party or embedded content (for example scheduling widgets or maps) may not fully meet AA. Where that happens, we provide an alternative — an email address or phone number — so nothing is a dead end. If you hit one, please tell us.

Tell us if something isn’t working

If any part of this site is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, email eric@davisdigitalstudio.com (or use the contact page). Please include the page and what went wrong. We aim to respond within 3 business days and will work with you to get you what you need.
